A round table “The State Rural Development Programme, Prospects for Rural Green Tourism” took place on 21 May 2005 within the framework of the 3rd Exhibition-Fair for Green Tourism.
The round table was hosted by the Institute for Rural Development.
Head of Parliamentary Agrarian Policy and Land Relations Committee Ivan Tomych, representatives from State Tourist Administration, Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Ministry of Economy, Cabinet of Ministers Agrarian Policy Coordination Council Secretariat, Union for Promotion of Rural Green Tourism Development in Ukraine, NGO’s, and ITA projects participated in the event. Also the national and regional press and TV were represented.
Svitlana Prokopenko, Institute for Rural Devlopment Director, opened the round table.
The participants discussed problems existing in the Ukrainian rural green tourism and proposed mechanisms to solve them.
