On 11 July 2005, a briefing was held for journalists following the meeting of the All-Ukrainian NGO “Association of Rural Specialists “TPAC Initiative”.

29 June - 1 July a Workshop “Regional Advisory Services in Ukraine: Sharing Experience and Development Prospects” was hosted by the Odesa Oblast Advisory Service supported by the Ukraine Rural Livelihoods Programme (URLP). The Workshop took place at the “Chaika – 2” Recreation Centre (Odesa region). Regional advisory service representatives from Donetsk, Kyiv, Luhansk, Odesa and Zakarpattya regions attended the Workshop along with the URL Programme Management Unit and Institute for Rural Development representatives.

Representatives of Donetskagroconsult Agricultural Advisory Service (Donetsk) participated in the 17th International Exhibition Fair ‘AGRO–2005’ that took place on 14 - 19 June in the National Complex 'Expocentre of Ukraine'.

Expert of the Institute for Rural Development, Board Member of the National Association of Agricultural Advisory Services of Ukraine Roman Korinets took part in the Sixth International Scientific and Practical Conference “Problems and Perspectives of Diversification”, which was held in the format of an extended field meeting of the Board of the National Association of Agricultural Advisory Services of Ukraine in Kherson oblast on 7-10 June 2005.

20-21 May 2005, 3rd Exhibition-Fair for Green Tourism was held at the Open-Air Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Pyrohiv.

ERD expert Roman Korinets made presentations “Rural community development and agricultural advisory service” and “Commentary on the Law of Ukraine On agricultural Advisory Service” at the training seminar “Integrated development of rural communities and rural areas” that took place in Ternopil on 11 May 2005.

Expert of the Institute for Rural Development, Board Member of the National Association of Agricultural Advisory Services of Ukraine Roman Korinets participated in the International Conference “Influence of Agricultural and Rural Advisers Operation Synergy on the Rural Development Process” that took place on 25-28 April 2005, on the invitation of the Latvian Rural Advisory and Training Centre (http://www.llkc.lv).

Economic Expert of the Institute for Rural Development Tamara Ostashko made a presentation at Public Hearing “Ukraine’s Accession to WTO”. The event took place on 27 April 2005 under the auspices of the Poltava Oblast State Administration Economy Department.

On 21 April a Young Pianist Contest “Prokofiev’s Acacia” took place.

21 April 2005, Roman Korinets, expert of the Institute for Rural Development and editor-in-chief of the journal “Rural Development Aspects” attended the meeting of Head of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn with representatives from agricultural sector NGOs.
