On 11 July 2005, a briefing was held for journalists following the meeting of the All-Ukrainian NGO “Association of Rural Specialists “TPAC Initiative”.
The briefing took place in the meeting room of the Main Control and Audit Department of Ukraine (4, Sahaydachnoho Street). Yevhen Danilin, Head of the Continuing Third Party Arbitration Court at the All-Ukrainian NGO “Association of Rural Specialists “TPAC Initiative”, informed the media representatives on the meeting conclusions and the Association’s outputs. According to him, the Association, being the only existing Ukrainian association of specialists working on dispute resolution in the rural sphere, managed to form oblast branches in 16 regions and, what is most essential, build a team of 136 including judges and secretaries. „As of today, those people already helped to pass judgments on 77 petitions made by citizens whose problems were impossible to solve otherwise for a long time. And we hope that this initiative, i.e. third party dispute resolution, will become a common practice to deal with various problematic issues” stated Mr. Danilin.
Also the Head of the Association gave examples of its practical activities and outlined its expected future development.
