20-21 May 2005, 3rd Exhibition-Fair for Green Tourism was held at the Open-Air Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Pyrohiv.
As organisers’ partner, the Institute for Rural Development had its own display to present and give out to exhibitors and guests free materials produced by IRD and its regional partners (Kyiv Oblast Rural Advisory Service (Kyiv), NGO “Donetsk Agrarian Development” (Donetsk), NGO “Slobids’kiy Rural Development (Luhansk), NGO “Rural Development and Legal Unit” (Odesa)).
Around 20 publications on RD were presented, including the Rural Development Journal, a book “Social and Economic Effects of WTO Accession: Expert Opinions” published in co-operation with partners, brochures “Agricultural Advisory Service: Questions and Answers”, “WTO for Rural Dwellers: Questions and Answers”, Catalogue of Donetsk Oblast Environmental Resources, pamphlets etc.
The IRD exposition generated interest among both rural dwellers engaged in green tourism and top officials and administrators.
