Economic Expert of the Institute for Rural Development Tamara Ostashko made a presentation at Public Hearing “Ukraine’s Accession to WTO”. The event took place on 27 April 2005 under the auspices of the Poltava Oblast State Administration Economy Department.
Tamara Ostashko’s theme was: „ WTO Accession Effects for Agriculture and Processing Industry”. Other speakers were: Expert of the Ukrainian International Integration Centre V.V. Vavryschuk (“WTO Accession. Advantages and Obstacles”), Head of External Relations and External Economic Links Department of the Oblast State Administration D.V. Orlov (On Investment Attraction, External Economic Activities of Enterprises in WTO Membership Conditions”), Deputy General Director of State Company “Poltavastandartmetrologiya”N.V. Tkachenko („WTO Standardization and Certification Requirements”).
Public Hearing participants passed a resolution to recognize the necessity of relevant measures to be developed to ensure oblast economy adjustment to WTO requirements.
