A new brochure "Scho Neobkhidno Znaty Selyanam pro Hromads’ki Orhanizatsiyi (on NGOs/Community Organisations – Information for the Rural Dwellers) has been published by the Institute for Rural Development to continue its line “Rural Development Library” produced with the support of the DFID Ukraine Rural Livelihoods Programme.
The publication is meant for rural activists, formal and informal leaders intending to establish NGOs in order to tackle their community problems.
The brochure pattern reflects a step-by-step procedure for an NGO to be created, from its conception through to the opening of its own bank account.
Problems faced by NGOs are outlined and solutions are offered. The brochure also contains useful information on other organizations that can be established in the rural areas.
Relevant regulatory instruments are placed in the appendices.
