„Rural Development Library”, a line of practical guides on various aspects of rural development issued by the Institute for Rural Development on a regular basis, has been completed with a new publication.
„Scho Neobkhidno Znaty Pro Derzhavnu Socialnu Dopomohu?” (A guide on public assistance in Ukraine) is a new brochure prepared by the IRD experts in co-operation with specialists from the Ministry of Labour and the State Employment Centre. It will come handy for all those willing to know more about the state support. The brochure concerns all types of public assistance guaranteed by the state to lower-income families, families with children, disabled etc. The authors give clear answers to essential questions, such as: „On what condition is public assistance fixed?”, „What is its amount and term?”, „What documents should be submitted and where to in order to receive public assistance?” etc.
The brochure was published with the financial support of the DFID Ukraine Rural Livelihoods Programme and will be distributed free of charge among all the rayon departments of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of Ukraine, scientific institutions, and NGOs nurturing vulnerable strata of the Ukrainian population.
