A co-ordination seminar on support to the development of mid-term agricultural and rural development policy in Ukraine took place in the Kyiv Agro-Industrial Exchange. It was initiated by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).
The seminar was devoted to a relevant project, its key components and goals, and creating awareness about the project among the Ukrainian rural policy makers and implementers.
Tamara Ostashko and Roman Korinets, experts of the Institute for Rural Development, took part in the workgroups on rural development and agricultural markets. They expressed their vision of next steps in the rural infrastructure development and integration of Ukraine in the WTO. Local and international experts exchanged experience and discussed a strategy and areas of co-operation.
