The Round-table devoted to 5-year activities of Ukraine Rural Livelihoods Programme and Report of the Institute for Rural Development took place on November, 15.
The following topics were covered in the frame of round-table:
1. Achievements of Ukraine Rural Livelihoods Programme;
2. Incorporation of URLP experience in national programmes and legislature;
3. Raising rural residents’ awareness;
4. Income generation of rural residents and civil society capacity building;
5. Employment creation in rural areas, dissemination of URLP experience to other donor projects.
6. Presentation of sociological survey results 2006;
The round table was opened by Mr. Timothy Barrow, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Ukraine. Also, in the event participated:
• Representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;
• Representatives of the Ministries and executive departments of Ukraine;
• DFID Representatives;
• Representatives of International organisations and technical assistance projects;
• Representatives of NGOs.
