On Wednesday, 15 November 2006, a round table will be hosted with the participation of the Institute for Rural Development in the House of Officers. The event will be devoted to five-year activities of the DFID funded Ukraine Rural Livelihoods Programme in Ukraine.
Issues on agenda are as follows:
1. Achievements of the Ukraine Rural Livelihoods Programme;
2. URLP experience transferred to Ukrainian national programmes and implemented in the relevant legislation;
3. Raising public awareness in the rural areas;
4. Rural income generation and civil society building;
5. Increased rural employment, URLP lesson sharing with other donor projects
6. Presentation of the panel sociological survey undertaken by IRD in 2006;
The event will be attended by:
• People’s Deputies of Ukraine;
• Representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;
• Representatives from relevant ministries and departments;
• UK Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine;
• DFID representatives;
• Representatives of International Technical Assistance organizations and projects;
• NGO representatives.
